Special knowledge:

  • Computer HW
  • Ubiquitous Computing
  • Microcontroller applications

I began working at the institute of Electronics in 1999, and I was assigned to the Ubiquitous Computing research team.

Currently we're designing a "smart living room", with implements innovative design and a high level of comfort for its users. Together with my colleague, Pasi, I'm currently occupied with programming and designing devices with Atmel's microcontrollers for diverse applications. These include: lighting control, floor sensors, plant watering monitor, door lock control etc.

I was born here in Tampere 24 years ago, and I have studied at TUT for four years now, majoring in Electronics design. Probably I'm going to study some signal prosessing and computer technology also. In 1996-1997 my studies were interrupted due to military service at the navy's electronics maintenance and repairing facility. My personal interests are PCs (I got my first computer about ten years ago), PC games, (especially Starsiege:Tribes), electronics, tennis, music, boating, model kit building. I also enjoy watching/reading science fiction.
