Wearable CPU Design

Smart system needs a central processing unit (CPU) to work, CPU controls activities of instrument and it knows all components and instrument devices. CPU connect different devices and makes possible more flexibility designing and modifiability. Therefore connecting of accessories and measurements is easier.

The prototype of wearable computer has been created for industry and mine environments, so it has been paid attention especially to mechanical durability. Body of CPU has made of aluminium, plastic and rubber. The instrument has been aimed to design according to the requirements of the IP-68 standard; it would be dustproof and waterproof.

CPU is rather huge for requirements of durability and tightness. Especially waterproof connectors have turned out to be huge. Connectors are needed for cables to connect monitor, mouse and keyboard.

CPU has been designed to fasten to belt on user's back. For better comfort it is hinged in the middle.
